We have a new game announcement in Vestaria Saga Gaiden: The Sacred Sword of Silvanister, new ports like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for PC and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for modern consoles, release dates for Forspoken, Babylon's Fall, and Lost Ark, and a whole lot more. News this week is headlined by The Game Awards, of course, but we also highlight all of the news that came both before and after Thursday's presentation. Bryan has done some catching up, playing the 2nd part to Apple Arcade RPG Fantasian, while Josh dabbles in numerous games like Omori, Another Eden, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.
James and Chao then discuss spoiler-free impressions of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. Actually Libgdx is very flexible and this game can be ported to IOS/Android with some effort but I guess it depends on the demand.Alas, It's not made for Switch portability in mind - if it comes to that, devs would have to re-build with a different engine which is ludicrous effort at the moment. In our last regular episode of the podcast for 2021, Adam kicks things off with an indie RPG released earlier this year - Wildermyth- which has tactical battles and a procedurally generated storyline.
